William Shakespeare is an English play writer, actor, and poet who lived throughout the Elizabethan and Jacobean Era otherwise known as the English renaissance. Shakespeare is recognized by many as Britain or the world’s greatest writer to ever exist as he was and is the most influential writer ever and is considered an icon and idle for many.

Shakespeare has greatly impacted modern literature and he transformed European theatre. Shakespeare has always been recognised for developing new concepts, familiarising the English language, and reusing it. He became one of the finest authors in the world because to his words, phrases, and unique manner of communication. His short stories, novels, and plays transcend time and society, and they are as important now as they were when he wrote them.

Shakespeare's name is not just familiar to writers, but it’s familiar around the world which just goes to show how much Shakespeare as an individual influenced the world.

Childhood:

Roughly Around April 23, 1564, the renowned British playwright and actor William Shakespeare was born at Stratford-upon-Avon, according to legend.

The young boy at the time had seven siblings four of which were girls and three were boys. John Shakespeare, his father, was a leatherworker who specialised in the delicate white leather used for gloves and other related things.

A prominent figure of the Arden family, Mary Arden was the wife of John. Unfortunately, not much is known about Mary or her family as this information was sadly lost in time …

Shakespeare attended the King's New School which was a nearby school to his home, Shakespeare would have learned Latin and Gaelic along with English in his school as that was the curricula in the 16th century. Unfortunately, due to his father’s financial situation, Shakespeare had to attend Henry VI grammar school at the young age of 13 years old. When Shakespeare graduated at the age of 18, he married a local girl, Anne Hathaway where he had twins Susanna and Hamnet. Researchers believe that Shakespeare’s most famous piece “Hamlet” was named after his only son Hamnet who unfortunately died at the young age of 11.

Work-life;

Shakespeare began his acting career in London. Luckily, he also had an acting company called "King's Men." During the 1590s this very company would be one of his father’s main financial income sources.

He began composing plays and poetry. He rose to prominence as one of history's most renowned and influential writers. Prior to it, he was mainly renowned for his acting abilities. Venus and Adonis were his first works to be published, in 1593.

After the publish of Venus and Adonis which had proved to be a wonderful success Shakespeare went on to write many plays and sonnets including a play that would unknowingly be the world’s best romance to date” Romeo and Juliet “which would be published in 1595 and stock out the seats of the globe theatre in London.

Following this massive success, Shakespeare continued to write plays, sonnets, and poems in London. Where he would continue to write over 39 plays 154 sonnets, and 3 brilliant poems over the course of 1593-1616, which would be the greatest period Literature would ever experience.
