Cars are terrible for the environment, your health, and your stress levels. Did you know “70 percent of Vauban’s families do not own cars” Cars have a big part of pollution, and they make people become lazy and stressed out? Just because a car is convenient, we need to have some respect for ourselves and the environment and use eco-friendly vehicles or use bicycles for exercise and transportation. Would you give up your car for all the beneficial reasons I listed above?

Accordingly, using cars has proven to lower the stress levels of people who limit the vehicles' roles in their lives. The community of Vauban, Germany lives completely car-free. The text states "In a German suburb, Life Goes on Without Cars". “When I had a car I was always tense. I’m much happier this way,” said a woman, Heidrun Walter, from this small community in Freiburg. Walter exemplifies the happiness that can come from not using motor vehicles as she walks down the street chatting away about her newfound hobby of walking everywhere. Life without a car can lower stress and provide a more peaceful atmosphere, as Ms. Walter perfectly demonstrates. Andrew Selsky, who wrote "Car-free Day is Spinning into a Big Hit in Bogota," would agree with that idea as well as he stated in the text.

[Twenty-seven] People had their cars impounded for their reaction to the fine.” This evidence clearly shows that Paris takes pollution very seriously, And will have people’s cars revoked for not listening to the new rule. 

Lastly, exercise has also begun to grow with the less usage of cars as stated in the article “Car-free day is spinning into a big hit in Bogota” in paragraph 28. This evidence helps grow the idea that “Parks and sports centers also have bloomed throughout the city;” I would say that this is a good result of not having cars. There are many unhealthy people in the world and exercise has many great benefits in helping people regain the healthy life they want. Because everyone is not using motor vehicles there is going to be an increase in more healthy people. Because of this everyone is using bikes instead of cars and shown in the text there are multiple bike lanes added to the city's road” It has seen the construction of 118 miles of bicycle paths”. This evidence shows us that bicycles are being used extensively more 

In conclusion, there are many benefits to not using cars and motor vehicles. They harm the environment, cause stress levels, and make people lazy. But they also are very convenient and  I can see why people use them so much but for all the risks I believe we should stop using cars and find an alternative that is way less harmful to the environment and ourselves, maybe soon there will be cars invented that will have fewer harms and risks.
