Introduction Paragraph: Over many years, there have been thousands upon thousands of conspiracy theories. Somehow, each one of them has raised the question “Is it true?” and the truth is- no one knows. Regardless of this fact, it is important to look at other truths. This conspiracy has people wondering if it is just a hoax carried out through the years. This conspiracy is known as the Loch Ness Monster, or Nessie. And this is why many believe that this creature is real.

Body Paragraph 1: First, let’s start from the beginning. At around 500 A.D., local Picts first discovered the Loch Ness Monster. As explained by www.tripod.domains.trincoll.edu/,  there was an Irish Monk by the name of Columba. The Picts documented their lives on stone carvings, and the Loch Ness Monster was first depicted on a “Pictish” stone. There was an aquatic monster carved into the stone. According to wonderopolis.org, there have been over 4,000 sightings of Nessie. For example, in 1933, a couple saw “an enormous animal rolling and plunging on the surface.” There are countless reports on what people have seen with their own eyes and have described this monster as a “dragon with flippers”. As you can see, the Loch Ness has had people wondering for centuries.

Body Paragraph 2: Nessie lives in the largest volume of fresh water in Scotland. Now, if you search The Loch Ness Monster, it's usually drawings. Depictions of her. Why is that? If there was an enormous dragon-like being, wouldn’t there be pictures of it all over the internet? Well, based on wonderopolis.org, this large volume is murky, making it incredibly difficult to see anything under the surface. Scotland is very cloudy and stormy. This makes it nearly impossible to get a satellite picture of anything within Scotland. Nevertheless, as mentioned by www.nesdis.noaa.gov/, on March 25, 2017, NASA took the first “true-color” satellite picture of Nessie. Of course, the picture is blurry, but it does show a figure. A shadow. This is why there are nearly no pictures of Nessie.

Body Paragraph 3:   Over the years, there have been many theories involving Nessie and while it may seem likely that she is not real, it is way more likely that Nessie is real because humans know so little about marine life. According to www.nasa.gov, “we know very little about the vast majority of the ocean.” Scientists know more about space than they know about oceans and marine life. Scientists know more about space. A place that is not within Earth. The Earth is a part of it and it exceeds far beyond planets, stars, solar systems, galaxies, and perhaps even this universe. Researchers know more about that than they know about the waters. Places that are on Earth. As said by www.usgs.gov, “About 71 percent of the Earth’s surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth’s water.” Mankind has not explored over 90% of water. Now you may be thinking   ‘There is no way that a dragon could be real.’ Maybe not a fantasy, fire-breathing dragon, but no one knows what goes on in oceans, lakes, rivers, etc. and until people explore and find more about it, nobody should be so quick to assume that something like the Loch Ness Monster is not real when there is such thing as a Gila monster, bearded dragons, and at some point, there was a shark that was about 50 to 60 feet long and its teeth alone were 18 centimeters long. Evidently, the waters are almost a complete mystery.

In closing, the Loch Ness Moster’s existence is still a mystery. No evidence strictly suggests that the Loch Ness Monster is real. However, it shouldn’t be so crazy to think that she is real. The Loch Ness Monster has been a matter of question for years. Yet, researchers and scientists have discovered an infinity of “impossible” things. The Loch Ness Monster could be just a speck of many more things to come. Maybe humans should normalize the unbelievable to be believable.
