Don't we all love refreshing energy drinks after a long run? But you can't understand if it's good for you or bad for you? Let's figure out the pros and cons of drinking these drinks. First off, Energy drinks are harmful because they cause heart conditions, cause deaths, and large doses can cause serious life-threatening problems.

Some things that describe why Energy Drinks are bad for you are that the World Health Organization mentioned in a report that these energy drinks are like monster energy. This can create heart problems. A quote I identified in this article was “A recent report by the World Health Organization says the products are a potential “a significant public health problem” Like I mentioned health problems can occur most by these energy drinks. A second piece I found talked about how a large amount of caffeine can affect your body. Teenagers consume a lot of caffeine (many energy drinks) to seem cool. But, there are consequences of consuming this much. The evidence I pulled for the text said “teens are so susceptible to negative effects of large doses of caffeine, including high blood pressure and heart palpitations'' My last piece of evidence to explain why energy drinks are bad for our community is that many adults and teenagers have gone into life-threatening diseases and problems. This is just from drinking 24 ounces of an energy drink. Though 24 ounces is a decent amount, it does not help the body whatsoever. Yeah, it maybe will wake you up, but bad things can come your way from drinking too many of these. The last piece of evidence to go with this piece of information says, “Take the case of 14-year-old Anais Fournier, who died from a heart attack in December 2011 after consuming two 24 ounce  cans  of Monster Energy.” Not only did she consume two of these drinks, she passed away from a heart attack. This goes so clearly why this drink is bad for human beings. Overall, energy drinks are bad because they can create heart problems, large doses can lead to many diseases and conditions, and it causes deaths.

We all love drinking Gatorade or Red bull after a long workout, so what are the other pros to this? The first piece of information I'm using is that it takes the tiredness away. It helps get the job done quicker. A piece of evidence I found said, “Which often keeps me up working past midnight. If you want to grab a Red Bull, to push through a marathon work session, there's no harm done.” So there are many reasons it is good. The second piece of information I found said  drinking this energy isn't terrible for you because It gets the job done, and it's cheap. The evidence or quote to support the thesis says “It's cheap, doesn't hurt anyone, and helps me get a lot accomplished.” The last thing to support how energy drinks are beneficial is because people know not to let their teen drink 40 ounces of Red Bull. Common sense is used, and it isn't like drinking that much. It says,  “No sensible person would allow a 10-year-old to drink a red bell.” This is why energy drinks can be beneficial.  It helps the person stay energized, it is cheap and isn't something to drink a lot of, but a good amount. It is also refreshing.``

Since you heard both sides of the story, I believe that Energy drinks are Harmful, I think this is because many studies have been done to conclude that many people have heart conditions and diseases. Many young adults and teens have died, as is stated in resources like an insider. Though Occasionally I think it's ok to drink them. But if you are drinking 20-ounce drinks after your workout every day, it can cause anxiety. Energy drinks are good and tasty, but you would rather live without conditions. My final thought is that overall, energy drinks are harmful for you to drink on a daily basis.

Overall, Energy drinks are good because they help keep you awake, it's cheap, and it's good to know when to stop drinking them. Energy drinks are bad for you because they can create heart conditions, cause deaths,  and many doses can cause life-threatening things. Energy drinks aren't good or bad, they are just okay. But, you can make that decision.
