Nowadays, a lot of people worry about the environment, and the effect it has on the world. Some have claimed that the world would end if this issue keeps being neglected. However it is not too late, it is still preventable. By choosing a more sustainable way of transportation, reducing waste, recycling, and planting more trees, saving the earth is possible.

First of all, a great deal of pollution is caused by the way humans travel. While driving a car is without a doubt less exhausting than cycling, it is important to consider taking a more sustainable way of transportation. This way, the pollution caused by certain vehicles decreases significantly.

Secondly, the rivers and seas are another major contributor to pollution. The plastic litter specifically. Not only does it cause the marine wildlife to get injured, or worse, to suffocate, while decomposing the trash, toxic chemicals are released. Those harmful chemicals are the problem when it comes to water pollution. If humanity decreases the amount of waste they produce and recycles as much as possible, this issue is solvable.

Finally, deforestation also affects the environment negatively. Reducing the amount of trees, which provide oxygen and absorb carbon dioxide, damages the environment. Therefore the incessant mass destruction of trees should be stopped. Even though 46% of trees have already been cut down by humans, putting an end to deforestation, or at least diminishing the number of trees being chopped down, is not unachievable. This could for instance be done by setting up projects to plant trees.

All things considered, while it is unquestionably difficult, if humanity puts in adequate effort, the problems surrounding pollution and damage to the environment could be solved. So by choosing a more sustainable way of transportation, reducing waste, recycling, and planting more trees, saving the earth is indeed possible.
