Taking Chances Reflection Essay Example

Introduction Paragraph: 

I lived my entire in Mexico, but last year I took the opportunity to move to United States. It was a hard decision because my family and friends live there, but I thought it would be a good opportunity for my future. Every day people face chances, and they must have to decide. This issue about taking chances has pros and cons. While some believe that it will increase your positivity and give you more opportunities, others challenge this view by considering that sometimes it could go wrong. 

Body Paragraph 1 – Pros/Benefit s 

One pro about making decisions would be the opportunity to create change in your life. For example, everyone becomes an independent adult, and you must start to make your own decisions. You must think twice before every decision you make, because there will not be anyone else to decide for you. I can connect to this because I needed to decide what to do and think very well about what that decision was going to benefit my life. Evidently, we should be confident and take risks.  

Body Paragraph 2 – Cons/ Challenges  

One con about making decisions would be failure. For example, sometimes you would put all your effort to go or get something, and I will not work out. It is part of making chances, so you must not give up. I connect to this because even though I would leave a lot of things I took the risk of moving, but fortunately everything worked out. Taking chances and having in mind all the cons is a good thing, because even though it doesn’t work out you will have more experience and knowledge. 

Conclusion Paragraph:  

Taking chances is something that we must make every day, and we should already be used to that. Sometimes it could end how we planned, or it could end badly. Adapting it to your life is very important, because at one certain point in your life you'll become independent, and you must take your own decisions. Having in count all the cons could make you feel demotivated, but you'll learn a lot of new things. Now that you’ve read about taking chances, you will know better how to take chances.
