Having a reliable car is very important. The more reliable a car is, the longer the car will stay up and running. Having a reliable car can be a form of memories in a way where it can be passed down from generation to generation. Nissan is a car company that creates many reliable cars from sports cars to SUV’s. Nissan's "The New Nissan" commercial is powerful because of how efficiently they implement ethos, pathos, and logos, which leads to the public wanting to purchase a car in order to experience the opportunity of driving one.

Nissan uses ethos in their advertisement very efficiently. A way that they appeal to their credibility is that it is mentioned that they have been manufacturing cars for about 10 years. The reason that this is important is because this shows that they are reliable. People would not trust a company that has been making a car for months compared to a company that has been making a car for 10 years. Another way that Nissan implements ethos in their advertisements very effectively is that they talk about how the cars that they create can run for many miles and not break down. The reason that this is important is because this also shows that their cars are reliable and you won’t have to waste money after a couple of years to buy a new car. In the advertisement, Nissan implies that their cars are reliable. On "osv.ltd.uk", they say "Nissan came tenth in the most reliable cars of 2017...Reliability Index has put Nissan ninth out of 32 brands for reliability, with a reliability index of 88.."(2) This shows that Nissan cars are reliable because if they were not reliable then they would have been placed higher around 20. Since they got placed ninth on the scale for reliability out of 32 brands, they are definitely reliable.

Nissan also uses pathos in their advertisement very effectively. A way that they appeal to emotion is by mentioning the fact that when everyone was a kid, kids use to love toy cars. Hot wheels can be an example. The reason that this is important is because getting an emotional connection with an audience can make an audience feel like they can relate to the advertisement. This can lead to convincing the audience to buy a product that is being advertised due to the emotional connection. Never underestimate the power of emotion. Being emotionally connected to something or someone can be really meaningful.

Nissan also uses logos in their advertisement very efficiently. A way that they appeal to reasoning is they mention how people deserve a car that can give them thrills and goosebumps. The reason that this is important is because Nissan is giving people a reason why they should buy one of their cars which can convince people to make the purchase. Another way that logos is being used is by Nissan mentioning how we have a variety of options of colors that we can choose from their cars. The reason that this is important is that they give people another reason to push people to purchase one of their cars. This tactic is very effective because the more reasons you have to buy a car the more likely you are to buy it. On “www.nissanofcoolsprings.com”, they talk about how Nissan cars are worth buying because of the good value, technological innovation, safety, service, maintenance, fuel economy, and satisfaction. This shows that Nissan cars have plenty of reasons on why you should purchase one of their cars.

In conclusion, Nissan’s commercials are very powerful because of the way they incorporate ethos, pathos, and logos. The way that they use these 3 will push people to want to buy one of their cars. This is a good thing because Nissan is a reliable car company and their cars are known for lasting very long. You won’t have to keep buying cars every 5 years but rather at least 10. You then will be able to pass down cars from generation to generation and there will be a memory of you forever as long as the car is well taken care of!
