The positions I would like to apply for are as follows: Senior Chief Petty Officer, Weapons Officer, Administration Officer, and Operations. Being an officer of any sort is more than just a sense of power and control. It's about being a foundation for the unit and wanting to see each other grow and encouraging one another to become the best that they can be. For the position of Senior Chief Petty Officer,

I will encourage others to participate and push themselves to exceed their own expectations. Having the ability to communicate with others and set a good example is certainly a priority for me. I will challenge others to improve themselves and encourage them to come out of their comfort zones. Furthermore, helping others improve by studying or finding ways to better assist them in learning the chain of command, orders to sentry and pt. Finding the time to understand and/or correct mistakes in drilling and other core classes. Some other ways to further progress are that we could run the track at lunch or comet time to get people used to running long distances. Another idea is doing more push-ups and sit-ups to work out our arms and core. Something I think would show rapid progress is using the tique of Cornell notes or flashcards and having a folder to have when we do academics, which could also help with installing those organization skills for the future. Not only that, but I will set new standards and commend those who achieve them. I am willing to put in the work and put my best foot forward. To be in this position, I will take on the responsibility necessary and I will work on any task given to me to the best of my ability. Leadership skills are also a very important tool to have for finding common ground and leading by example. Developing self-confidence and discipline will go a long way in the future.

As Weapons Officer, I will make sure all rifles are cleansed regularly. I will also ensure that drill rifles and air rifles are up to maintenance, as well as the swords are clean and all needed items are up to standard use and accounted for. I will also be very active within the unit by attending all competitions and participating in all unit practices. Being a weapons officer is more than just a cool title for me. It's about a learning experience and growing my interest in rifles and seeing how they are made and how much effort it takes to make them clean and knowing how to fix them and maintain them as a whole.

As Administrations Officer, I will carry out the task of maintaining the unit records and assist the Operations Officer and all other Officers  with any task given. I, myself, will keep track of the unit's records and achievements. I will sustain an organized system with the documents I am given. I am willing to put in all the hours necessary to see the unit flourish. I am determined to make sure that the unit has everything in place and there are no cracks in our foundation. As leaders, we should all be on the same page and communicate with each other.

The role of an Operations Officer I will ensure that all events and activities are neatly put together and taken care of. I am confident in my ability to give public speeches and demonstrate the importance of leadership. I await the opportunity to be more hands-on with the unit and all the challenges that we will face. I will become familiar with all the requirements and rules according to the events planned, as well as make sure every aspect is accounted for. Having a neat and organized structure is very important to me. Disorder and a messy routine can lead to very stressful situations and can cause a rift within our unit, so I hope to be able to manage a good understanding of this position so we can have smooth sailing.

The final position I will be applying for is Supply officer. I will ensure that all unit supplies and materials are accounted for. I see that all inventory is maintained and accessible at all times. I will be very direct and diligent with every task I am required to complete. I would make a special effort to guarantee that they have the assets as a whole and the materials they need to prevail in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC). Something we, as a whole, could work on is shoe shining and measurements. My idea to improve this error is to teach those who are struggling with these problems and show them different ways to improve. Supply is more than just hanging jackets and fixing the ribbons. For me, it's about showing how much we really care about the unit. Seeing everything in order and issuing all of the uniforms and watching us grow and knowing where we started and our progress.

To summarize, being an officer is a goal of mine that I am excited about achieving. I am willing to shoulder the burden of responsibility as well as the strenuous trials we may face. Having a strong structure and support system is a valuable asset in life that will increase your self-assurance. It's not easy to be an officer in any position, but knowing how much potential everyone has makes it worthwhile.
