Trump's Presidency Analysis Essay Sample

Love the man or hate the man. Our 45th president of the United States Donald J. Trump time in office was fun. With his opened racist and no filter, he sure did have a lot to say. Setting this aside let us talk about the good things and dreadful things that happened during his presidency terms. We know all the foolishness he did during his term but not good stuff he did during office. Born Donald John Trump born on June 14, 1946, in Jamacia Hospital Medical Center, New York, Ny. Before running for elections Trump was a real estate developer and a businessperson. He owns hotels, golf courses, casinos, residential properties, and resorts. You might have seen one of his hotels, which is the Trump Hotel. Now, let us start to go over the good and bad Trump did while in office. 

The first good think Trump did while in office was the First Step Act. The first step act is known as the formerly incarcerated reenter society transformed safely transitioning every person act. This bipartisan criminal justice bill was passed and signed by trump on December 18th, 2018. This bill was meant to do two things one to improve conditions in federal prisons and two to cut unnecessary long sentences. Here in the United States of America we have an outrages amount of people in our prison system. Other countries even make fun of us because of it. Did you know that 34% black man are behind bars and 24% Hispanics man are behind bars. Some of them are there for petty drug offenses. We have more minorities locked up for the weirdest drug offenses. While White people commit the same crimes but get out sooner than minorities with the same drug charges.  With this act families can finally be reconnected with each other. They were able to talk about their experiences in prison and even tell others not to do what they did. With this act we wouldn't see so many minorities locked up in prison but rather at home inspiring their kids to do better. We wouldn't see young teens and adults following their parents or family members on the same path into prison. People can have their role as inspiration to their kids to be better than they ever could. And it supplied job training opportunities and rehabilitations.  

Another good thing Trump did while in office was to make Hemp and CBD legally. This bill is known as the 2018 Farm Bill. There is controversy with the legalization of marijuana. But let's be honest it 2021 and you shouldn’t have to go to jail for smoking weed. Some states have very harsh laws on drugs. Weed is considered a drug, but I wouldn't categorize it with hard killer drugs such as heroin, meth, and cocaine. With weed you can’t overdose on it. So that is why to me it isn’t as high up their drug compared to heroin. I do believe that weed is a gateway drug because you will never find the same high as the first one. So, some go to extreme methods to find it. I liked how they decriminalize weed because weed is a common drug everyone smokes and should be legal because people will smoke it no matter what but rather them not get arrested for it. By arresting the people for weed you are adding more people to jail and prison, and those places are already overcrowded. Put people in prison for actual bad things such as killing someone, rapping, robbing, etc. With this act we get a lot of people back from prison for those drug-related offences and put them back where they belong in their community. 

Now let’s talk about my favorite things that trump did that makes some of us dislike the man. One reason why we don’t like the man is because he is openly a racist, sexist, a homophobic, and very controversial. Have you seen the man's twitter account? He constantly talks about how Covid-19 is China virus. Which this increases Asian hate crime. Asians were getting attacked both verbal and physical because the virus started in China and all because some people where eating bat soup. It was like what Asian Americans at the time of the Vietnam war were feeling. Asian had to cover themselves up or avoid going out in general. This man didn’t believe how deadly covid was. He said that the cases are high because testing rates were high. He also consistently attacked Joe Bidens son who was in the military but passed away a druggy and a loser. But later, he claimed he didn’t know Beau. He says Mexicans are brining drugs and that they are rapist. He doesn't think before he speaks. The way he speaks about women is atrocious saying “Grab ‘em by the pussy”. He has been accused of sexual misconduct. And it doesn't help that he visited Jeffrey Epstein's private Island. Epstein's private island is known for being a sex trafficking ring for children. This is a little irrelevant, but I have a little theory that Trump sent someone to kill Epstein while he was in prison. Anit no way that man killed himself while being watched. 

Covid-19 hit us all hard. Some of us lost our jobs. In times of need we need a leader who is going to be there and help us when times get rough. Trump said otherwise. The man didn't believe Covid-19. They also taught that wearing their mask was a hate crime because it’s the right not to wear that. It didn’t help that he fired some of the pandemic response team. So, we were all lost hens in a big field not knowing who to trust. A lot of people where dying and trump did nothing. He just kept on saying this was just like flu and it wasn’t a big deal. It was the nonchalant approach that I hated because at one point we were about to surpass the death of people dying in World War two just here in the states. There was mass unemployment going on, how were people going to pay bills, eat, and clothes if they had no income coming in since everything was closed. But what got me upset was the wealthy were still making more than the people struggling to keep a roof over their heads. 

Now my favorite subject on building the wall and Mexico would pay for it because they aren't doing a good job on immigrants coming over. It’s funny how Trumps thinks a wall will stop people from crossing over, but it won’t. Rather than trying to get a faster way to become a citizen legally you think that a wall will fix our problems. Trump handles all the lives that died at the hands of the board control and all that are missing as well. Trump separated kids from their parents, and I believe even the kids' hand to go to their own hearing.  Where is all the funding for the wall coming from? I hope it’s his own pockets since it’s a big deal for him. And not from our tax money. 

Love or hate the man but he did do other good things in office. Give credit when its due that man knows what he does. If he just changes a couple of stuff, he would be a more likable person.  I wouldn't vote for him because of his point of view. But he did try his best to be a great president even if he fails doing do. Thank you for your time and have an amazing day.
