Admission Essay Sample: National Honor Society

The National Honor Society is a great organization that makes it possible to help all kinds of people, such as kids, aged people, and non-profit organizations. The best part is that students do that. I dream of becoming its member because I want to help people and learn what I can do to help improve the world. I am aware of the unlimited opportunities that this organization provides and being its member will allow me to develop my academic and professional skills in social services. I hope that my scholarship achievements will help me to become a member of it. 

It’s a privilege to have received the letter allowing me to apply to become a National Honor Society member. I’m happy that my dedication and willingness to help the community has been recognized. I will keep serving my community to help change the world. 

All of my goals can be categorized into a few basic groups. My long-term academic goal is to become a member of a prestigious college that provides excellent learning conditions, and I plan to major in English in college and become a writer of my own free will. I consider creativity and attention to detail to be my greatest strengths. They’re important in any piece of writing. I’m very confident in the future success of my English career, and I plan on taking courses over the summer to help further my education. This is where I’ll prepare mentally and academically for my occupation. 

I have my personal goals too. I strive to succeed in everything I do, including my academics, improving my writing skills, playing sports, preparing and passing my exams, and gaining a deeper understanding of the world around me and what I can do to improve it. That is because I have the determination to excel at anything and everything I do, and to constantly be improving on what I do. I also want to accomplish my life goals by respecting the people around me, and earning their respect as well because it is necessary in improving the world. 

I have many personal goals, both short-term and long-term. They all form around the idea of pursuing excellence in different fields. I’m aware of the commitment and dedication necessary to complete these goals, but I know that they are all possible with enough determination for success and strong character. I am also aware of the obstacles that will be in the way of these goals, and I am prepared to overcome all of them.

I know my strengths and weaknesses. I keep using both of them to achieve my goals. I have strengths in listening, patience, observing, applying my creativity, leading others, and these are only a few of my positive characteristics. They all help to build my character and make me who I am. I lead other people well due to my ability to understand each unique situation and have patience with each person. I can evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, and take these into account when making decisions. Being a good leader means being a good companion. I listen and follow others no matter the position of power I am in. 

I realize the amount of studying necessary to get into a prestigious college that fits my professional and personal goals. I can excel in different areas of interest in our high school, and I will retain and improve my strengths for the rest of my life, while also making my weaknesses into strengths along the way.
