Being an Only Child or Having Siblings Essay Example

Do you know that in the past all families had a lot of children? Children are a source of joy for families. But on the other hand, scientists are saying that in the 1800s mortality rate in infants are, more than %46. Nowadays, this rate is decreasing day by day, and families aren’t thinking too much child. Often children don’t have any siblings for this reason. My feeling on the subject is that being an only child isn’t better than having siblings for several reasons.

The first reason is that having siblings is improves our communication skills at the age of childhood. Some children are introverted they need to talk with somebody to be a part of society. Also, parents and old persons can’t understand these children. They can only be friends with their siblings that’s why having siblings is important for children. For example, if someone is an introvert, their siblings can spend time together, and they can go outside such as shopping malls, coffee, and in this way they can communicate easily.

Moreover, in the bad times, they will be there for you. They just want you to be happy. In all bad situations, you can call them, they won’t say why. We spend more time together with them than with our parents. Also sometimes we can’t share all the bad things with our parents. Therefore, siblings are a big part of our life, and we need them for a better life. For instance, if we have some puberty problems such as love, emotions we can’t share with our parents, and our siblings can help us.

One last reason for this is that sometimes we need to get supports, and bits of advice from someone other than ourselves, and asking siblings is the best way of getting help in our lives. Also, they always push us to be better. For example, if we have to pass the exam or we try to find a job they can motivate us for our goal.

Taking everything into account, having siblings have a lot of good sides for us. It improves our communication skills, makes us feel like we’re not alone, and motivates us all the time. I think this is necessary, and every child needs to spend time with their siblings.
