The importance of education has been recognized throughout history. In the absence of education, we would still be living in primitive conditions, without math, science, history, and knowledge of language. Most distance learning programs require students to submit their assignments via the Internet, with instructors posting assignments, readings, and schedules on websites. There is no standard way to approach distance learning also known as remote learning. There lies the problem with this since everyone learns differently and processes information differently. Remote learning is at the mercy of many factors such as internet connection. 

Despite the considerable benefits of online remote learning, there are inequalities between students with and without access to technological resources or low levels of digital literacy. All things considered, there is an urgent need to promote self-regulation skills through offline intervention solutions in order to equalize the playing field for students who lack digital resources.

Students learn less online than in a physical building, which is another big issue with remote learning. Science classrooms in schools, for instance, are usually equipped with the necessary materials to allow students to do hands-on labs or experiments, which makes those classes more interactive. Since we can't perform these experiments at home, understanding certain concepts can be difficult. It is possible that some students have a hard time paying attention in class as well. 

There are usually more distractions at home as well. Students may be playing games on their Chromebook while seemingly paying attention to their screen because they are opening another tab.  Students are frequently distracted by technology, work, and family. You may find it difficult to escape distractions when studying online, as your classroom is often your home. When you receive notifications from social media or text messages, the temptation to respond draws your attention. Distractions can also come from family members, who ask innocent questions to distract you. Despite the fact that it can be hard to say no to close friends and family, it is important to set boundaries and make sure everyone understands which disruptions can wait until after studying.

The ability to manage time is another skill that students struggle with. Students tend to learn time management skills in a physical classroom due to its structure. However, procrastination is more likely to occur in a virtual class. This is because more distractions can be incorporated. Likewise, the supervision of the teacher and parents is more limited in a virtual classroom. Accountability is therefore reduced as well. Distance and other correspondence hindrances mean understudies may not have the foggiest idea about what's generally anticipated. Except if an instructor makes it unequivocal, understudies don't have the foggiest idea, for instance, the number of bits of proof to remember for a response. They don't have the foggiest idea of how long is a sensible measure of time to spend on a task.
