Abolitionists have been fighting for the same goals all the time, but all their arguments or speeches have something in common connecting them.  There have been many Abolishers who connect with just their speeches alone and also connect with some things they have experienced. Let's take Frederick Douglass. He fought for people's rights for a long time when he was alive. We can’t forget someone else who has a good connection to him Sojourner Truth who has given a bounce of speeches herself about rights belonging to slaves and women similar to Frederick Douglass and how he also did speeches that have belong to the same cause. But they also have a lot more in common with their experiences and speeches than you believe. In conclusion, people who are abolishers can have many more things in common and possibly even deal with similar experiences and enlistment of their speeches.

Starting,  Sojourner has gone through many things that are alike to Mr. Douglass. For example, Sojourner was classified as a slave and had been treated as one going through beating and being sold. That type of treatment would be abnormal, to say the least, in this generation and she had to wait for a long time before running away from this treatment. She has experienced this and so has Mr. Douglass. Despite them having different outcomes they both had backgrounds on why it was wrong. They both understood why it was wrong through first-hand experience. (This is knowing The difference between them is that Fredrick Douglass learned reading and was decently able to educate himself due to who he was owned by back in his younger days.) It provided the evidence for this treatment here “ She was bought and sold four times, and subjected to harsh physical labor and violent punishments… year before New York’s law freeing slaves was to take effect—Truth ran away”. Finally, Sojourner Truth had an outcome from Mr. Douglass but they both were treated similarly to their background which helped them understand what made slavery wrong.

Continuing, off on the information applied, Mr. Douglass has had experiences very similar to Sojourner Truth. Along, those lines Mr. Douglass was a slave just like Mrs. Truth was a slave. He on the other hand was able to be taught how to read from an early age and learn why it was wrong. Despite how he became of the knowledge that slavery was wrong he still grew with the experience of what it was like being a slave. It also truly got him rolling to learn the truth and speak of it to stop it and it make him a lot more similar to Mrs. Truth otherwise He wouldn’t have tried so hard to put an end to it. To further Clarify, this evidence shall explain what has been explained” Even though there was a ban on teaching slaves to read and write, Sophia (the wife of his slave owner, Auld) taught Douglass” It is small but it shows that although having a different ending Mr. Douglass still knew what it was like to be a slave after all he was banned from learning but was taught anyway. Concluding, Mr. Douglass knows where Mrs. Truth is coming from and that they are similar in other ways such as their backgrounds.

Extending, towards the idea that they are similar in alternative ways such as the places/backgrounds. Mr. Douglass was a slave who learned how to read and write, which help encourage him to “fight”(speak against) slavery as he got older and try to get rights for not just slaves but also women. Mrs. Truth grew up being a slave and escaped to a family to learn how wrong slavery was. This leads her to speak against it and get rights for slaves and women. They both fought against it after realizing the wrong it brought. This helped them try to fight for their rights and even gave attention to women who also needed their rights which these two also helped fight for. To Justify, this quote should help explain” The motto of The North Star was "Right is of no Sex – Truth is of no Color – God is the Father of us all, and we are all brethren." In addition to abolition, Douglass became an outspoken supporter of women’s rights…” and this one for Mrs. Truth “ Truth began a lecture … “Ain’t I a Woman?” speech. In it, she challenged prevailing notions of racial and gender inferiority and inequality.” These quotes represent that they both speak on these things because of the past encounters they faced as they grew.  In the end, they both had been able to use what they experienced or encountered to help them fight for what they believed in.

In brief,  abolishers can connect more than just what they are fighting for, they could be far more related in many different ways such as encounters or background experiences. Sojourner Truth was a woman who grew up being a slave and had to flee to escape from slavery and persisted to fight for the rights of slaves and women. Fredrick Douglass was also a slave who had also experienced similar things to Mrs. Truth but had a different outcome which lead him to fight for slaves and also women's rights as well. Despite the difference in how their stories went they both were connected in how they grew up, knowing what it was like being a slave and having to fight for the rights they needed further connecting how their background help them relate to the same objective which was fighting for their rights. To sum up, both had encounters and background knowledge that helped them relate to each other's causes.
