Good morning/afternoon,“Artificial intelligence is the future and the future is here.” by Dave Waters. The point behind this all is we need to know that AI is a very helpful and useful technology for us to make our life easier. What do you think AI has a positive impact on society? AI is when machines can learn and make decisions similar to humans, there are many types of artificial intelligence including machine learning, which analyse and learn from data and mistakes as we make. Alan Turning has a massive effect on AI, in 1950 Alan Turing published his research paper in Computing Machinery and Intelligence and tried to figure out if a machine could win. The paper first introduced the Turing Test. Computing Machinery and Intelligence are primarily regarded as the seminal work on Artificial Intelligence. We all need to know about Artificial Intelligence because it is our future! My name is Kripa Pal and today I am going to talk about Artificial intelligence.

There are many positive impacts of AI on society. People can be dependent on the machine 49% thought intelligent machines could carry out household tasks, ex cooking and cleaning - for older or disabled people. AI can help many people so we all can support the AI which will take the technology to the next level. 48% of people thought they could fly unmanned search and rescue aircraft which can benefit and make people feel like superheroes and we all will be able to do all the things we want to so we won’t feel like we can’t help others. 45% of people thought they could fly unmanned military aircraft which can develop our world and it will unite us, sharing the ideas with all the countries will make a great bond. So then we all can help each other and help to reduce poverty and the wars. Although 70% of the people thought that they could act as monitors for cops which will help our government. AI is helping people to make things from impossible to possible. We all together can support AI and make our dreams come true. What do you think AI will be a useful technology for our society? Well, it’s an outstanding invention!

There are many opportunities we can get by using AI, there will be less human-intensive labor. As per the Oxford Economics Report in June 2019, more than 2.25 million Robots are deployed worldwide. Now in many factories, all the heavy lifting, carrying, transporting and other mundane activities are carried out by AI-enabled robots. This is saving human effort and saving human lives because the use of AI robots does not only reduce human efforts in performing physically intensive work like caring for a large quantity of weight but also enhances safety at the workplace. The Cyborgs can load and unload one full trailer of stocks in less than 30 minutes which took more than a couple of hours for human workers. So if we support the AI we can get so much help and because of that so many lives can be saved and the safety issues wouldn’t bother anymore. It is very impressive how AI is helping everyone to make our world better. It will make you feel like a million dollars. 

AI has been a boon to the Pharma and Healthcare industry. As per the study by MIT 13% of the drugs pass the clinical trial stages it costs Pharma companies millions of dollars for any of its drugs to pass the clinical trials. Different machine learning algorithms aid scientists in finding the right composition of different salts in the drugs by analyzing historical data related to Genes, chemical reactions and other attributes. Like Novartis has been using machine learning algorithms to find out which compound is best at fighting the diseased cells under examination. As before we had manual microscopic investigation for each sample which was both time-consuming and prone to human errors, machine learning algorithms can run real-time simulations and get more accurate results. 

Another positive impact can be that if you go on a chatting website you need to wait and talk to chatbots. Interactions were very time-consuming and frustrating. The bots used to run into loops and coils assist only in predefined tasks. The AI-powered chatbots using natural language processing which has a better understanding of humans and can learn on their own and hence are far more adept in providing an adequate response to the customers. Bank of America virtual assistant Erica is an example of an AI-enabled chatbot. It has helped 7 million clients already since its roll out in June 2018. Erica uses AI, predictive analytic and artificial neural networks to serve more than 50 million customer requests it received last year. The request ranges from normal banking tasks like Bank balance information, bill payment to complex tasks like investment planning and budgeting suggestions. That is a really good example of how we can use AI in several places.

There are 3 types of AI; Artificial narrow intelligence(ANI) which is like GPS in your car or like we use Siri or Alexa they are just used to search something for us like in GPS we used to research the locations and we use Siri and Alexa to research its voice assistance they ANI is designed to perform a single task it also contains face recognition. The second type of AI is Artificial general intelligence(AGI) that is made to mimic human intelligence or behavior including human emotions. But so far the AI scientists are not able to produce any strong AGI. The third and last type of AI that can be made is Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI). This type of artificial intelligence not only can mimic human intelligence or behavior, but it can also become self-aware of human intelligence and ability. Researchers have been found making robots where they can replicate humans to great extent. The robot has multi-faceted human intelligence in terms of math, science, sports, art, medicine, hobbies, emotion together with memory power and decision-making capacity. Nonetheless, such robots are yet hypothetical ones.

In conclusion, Artificial intelligence has a positive impact on society if we use it in a good way because it can understand our feelings and it can help us with more of our health and safety which shows that it's a very powerful technique because it connects to our lives. In my opinion, we can make people's dreams come true. It is similar to a mobile phone because right now mobile phones are like a part of our life and later on we'll all be connected to Artificial intelligence. AI can help us with our work that can risk human lives, they can be used for accurate results and if there will be AI chatbots they can help us with our problems in real life if there won’t be many people present as they can be there for us.
