Julius Caesar is considered one of the greatest men in history in William Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar it tells the story of Caesars urge to lance and his honorable death.by men who claimed to be his friend. Julius Caesar was an honorable and noble man in some people eyes however others saw him as an ambitious man. Cassias, a supposed friend, was filled with envy and wanted to get rid of Caesar. He was able to take brutus into joining his plan by telling Brutus a list of Caesars negative aspects even though many tried to warn Caesars of his impending doom, his vanity and stubbornness lead him to a lonely grave.

Julius Caesar was also a stubborn leader. This was shown many times in Julius Caesar, Julius Caesar says. “I could be well moved, if I as you I could pray to move prayers would move me. But I am constant as the northern star (Shakespeare 39). This quote shows that Caesar will adhere to his word not change his decision. Another example of Caesar being arrogant is when he says. “Caesar shall forth. The things that threatened me Ne,er looked but on my back; when they shall see The face of Caesar, they are vanished” (Shakespeare 29). This quote by Caesar shows his ego. Caesar thinks anyone who comes to the face of him will back down.

Julius Caesar is very full of himself or arrogant. Caesar arrogance was one of his biggest problems as shown in this quote. “Danger knows full well that caesar is more dangerous than he, we are two lions littered in one day and Caesar shall go forth” (Shakespeare 30). This display shows Caesar comparing himself to danger thinking he is a bigger threat. Later on, in the book an old sooth sayer tells Caesar. “beware the ides of march” Caesar blows him off and says “he is a dreamer. Let us leave him. Pass.” Caesar seems to think he is not of importance or isn’t worth listing to.

Over all Julius Caesar was a stubborn and arrogant individual. He let his arrogance get in the way threw out his short-lived life.
