I agree it should but also then I’m on the opposite end saying an ADN will be just fine seeing how both are registered, nurses. BSN programs place more importance on topics like research and informatics. They include clinical rotations in community and public health settings unlike with an ADN program (ADN vs BSN | The Difference Between the ADN and BSN, 2021). ADN is typically cheaper and faster so that’s why most choose to go the ADN route. I feel if it’s only a couple extra classes why not go for the BSN and then you can move into management eventually if wanted. Some health systems reward the BSN directly through clinical ladder programs (ADN vs BSN | The Difference Between the ADN and BSN, 2021). A few pros are having a BSN as in salary, more knowledge, and more career opportunities just to name a few. In the end, I do believe the entry-level should be BSN because by that one will have a better opportunity within the work field and not feel beneath any nurses with a BSN education. 

After reading the nursing vision and mission statement I believe it is used in my current practice with health promotion. Health promotion it includes primary prevention. The primary prevention we offer is the prophylactic vaccination which is the covid vaccine. We offer it to patients to help protect them from covid. Even though one can still get covid while vaccinated symptoms are less likely to be as robust as one unvaccinated. By incorporating health promotion, we are improving the overall health of the population. How I would incorporate it in the future with my BSN would be by the health promotion including primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. Also using evidence-base practice would be incorporated into my daily work to help a patient return to their normal state. I would also utilize care plans for the patients to make sure one is progressing in their health while better understanding their condition. How the vision, mission and philosophy relate to the learner understanding will be by having professional growth within the field, using evidence-base practice, teaching to patients and families, and learning leadership skills to become a great nurse.
