Scholarship Essay Sample

I am so honored to be earning and receiving this scholarship.I have lived my whole life up to this moment.Two weeks ago I finally and fully recovered from an injury that changed my life.Finishing up some dark times this scholarship will change a lot and how my life will change from now on at this moment.Many Have dreamed of this scholarship and for me to make it out of the many people makes me feel special and smart enough to get the chance to pursue my dreams and change lives as a surgeon.So,thank you very much again,you don't understand the joy that is going through me right now at this very moment im typing this.Before Im come to join this wonderful university,Im going to tell you a little things that are important to me.

Two years ago I was lost,broken,and searching for what made me happy.I didn't know what i wanted in life i just knew that i wanted to be rich.Or some would call it wealthy.Trying to find what me me happy I struggled to keep myself together mentaly and physically.Life got hard to the point to where i wanted to give up on what i wanted.Working a Nine to Five knowing your better and should be doing more spectacular things is a horrible and miserable feeling to live with.Every other weekend I would party,drink,smoke, and have fun with my life.I knew my goal in life was to be a wealthy man one day I just wanted to figure out how to make this plan fall through.With the right mindset anything is possible if you put your mind to it you can and will create your own reality and living your dreams mentally and physically.

Viewing life as a young being I thought I Knew everything that there was to know.Full of pride I didn't I did not let anyone tell me what I can and can not do,It just wouldn't get through my stubborn head. With this being my mindset and view on life It was hard getting a job when i hatring being bossed around.Id get fired Every month because I could not keep my mouth shut.Generally this took a huge toll on my life and I would have to sleep with friends or family.I started searching of jobs that paid enough to support me and keep me fed night to night.I hated working by paycheck to paycheck beauce i knew i was better than this and I would be more in life i just needed a push.

One day I woke up,started looking for jobs and finally found one I could push by with.I applied and waited days for a response.Continued waiting until I got a job telling me I was scheduled for an interview.Five minutes later I heard banging on my door “BAM!’ “BAM”! “BAM!”.I rushed to the door in fear and opened it to my sister crying telling me my aunt was in a crash”She is the hospital and I'm not sure if she will make it!”.Me and my sister rushed to the hospital skipping two red lights.As soon as I parked we rushed inside bumping through people with no shame.A quick dash to the second floor,third door down,I could see all the operators In a hurry to keep her alive.Struggling The surgeons were on their last straw and were very unconfident she would make it through.”BEEEEP”,I heard,As the machine went off.Full of tears My family was devastated on the accident and couldn't even speak.Hitting the surgeon as if they did something wrong.This was a day that changed my life forever.

Fast forward four years later I finally knew what I wanted to be.It wasn't about the money.I just wanted to do better and do what makes me happy.Four years of medical school was my first step to becoming a Surgeon.Saving lives was exactly what i wanted to do after what happened to my Aunt on that devastating night.My life changed tremendously after the horrific night of the accident.So once again i want to say I am honored to receive this scholarship and will take it very seriously.I look forward to seeing where things take me in the next years.
