To explore this question, start by listing three stressors you have encountered that have resulted in a stress reaction. What did they have in common? Explain the stress reaction you experienced for each stressor.

The three stressors I have faced are school work, my job, and family problems. When I am at school, I have difficulty multi-tasking and tend to overthink everything. Stressors can also include daily hassles, which comprise minor annoyances and irritations that can accumulate over time. I’m very concerned about school work, worrying about my grades, and doing my assignments for each class. When I can't work at my own pace, I have the highest levels of anxiety, and especially when I am stressed about not meeting graduation requirements because I moved from another state it causes a lot of stress. According to OpenStax, “Jobs that are especially demanding, offer little control over one’s working environment or involve unfavorable working conditions can lead to job strain, thereby setting the stage for job burnout.”  Since I recently started a job it has had a huge impact on me, especially when I have to speak to customers. In my job, I also have a lot of responsibilities. If there is a mistake with an order, it is my responsibility, so I find that to be very overwhelming. What could cause job burnout from my job is the fact that you're always multitasking and that is very overwhelming at times. Throughout my childhood, I had family therapy since many of my family members had different viewpoints. As a result, I can get into arguments and feel judged, causing my stress level to shoot up.

Their common theme is that they revolve around expectations because they are intended to be met. You have many responsibilities when you are in school, especially when it comes to getting good grades, completing assignments, and communicating with your teachers. As a student who cares a lot about school and strives to succeed in life, I am very upset when I get poor grades for courses. I also have a lot of anxiety before I turn in an assignment. As a result, I've noticed I care about what my parents think if my grades are poor or if I miss a deadline.

Various medical conditions have been found to be affected by stress and negative emotions, such as anger, depression, and negative effects. Many studies have found that stress weakens the immune system,  leading to a wide range of health problems. While I’m constantly worrying and overreacting while reacting negatively to those three stressors, I’ve noticed I receive negative emotions from them as well. It has always been my goal to get my family's approval with everything I do, especially when it comes to school grades, chores at home, and abiding by their house rules. There are negative aspects of close relationships such as a lack of emotional support and communication, a lack of reciprocity, and adverse exchanges and conflicts. As a result, I tend to fight with my family because I don't live up there expectations, but I really just want them to be proud of me and know I’m trying my hardest. My feelings of shame are heightened when they judge me or when I do not meet their expectations. To show my boss and manager how much I care about my job, I want to impress them. In the past, I've been beating myself up when I've taken an order wrong and I'm very ashamed. Due to my anxiety, I stutter a lot, especially with phone orders. A strain reaction is more likely to occur when school, work, and family problems are involved.
