Argumentative Essay On Too Much Homework

Schools are always a debatable issue in public. Although it is where children can gain and improve their knowledge through lessons and assignments, being given too much homework also harms them. That is why I would like to share my opinion about this problem in this essay.

First and foremost, children need time to play and have fun. At that age, they want to explore the world around them, play with friends, or read comic books. Therefore, giving a lot of homework may limit their time to take part in outdoor activities, then makes them unhappy as well.

Secondly, we all know that we can't force anyone to do what we want, including children. If they are asked to do a large number of assignments, they will try to oppose, study with an attitude, or under pressure. This is one of the factors which cause study pressure. According to the researchers, these days, many children have to study under pressure, and some of them suicide when they were still teenagers because of this.

Last but not least, unlike in the past, children today are taught a load of knowledge at school. There are such 13 subjects in total so that they can't be good at all. They just need to have a basic background for each so they should be given some moderate assignments. If they want to advance their knowledge and skills, they can join school clubs or study themselves

To summarize, we should reduce the amount of homework which is given to children so that they can enjoy their childhood.
