It has become a tradition that if something is unknown to open up your nearest device and search for the answer. Technology is very useful in that way, though is it too useful? Society today has little to no time available being constantly on the move, there is no need to run simple errands now, with the press of a button most people could solve their problems. Narrowing our minds to allow machines to do calculations for us and distract us from connecting with those around us though, with the development of technology came more opportunities for work, education, and even romance, the world is literally at our fingertips. 

Technology was first seen as a device not necessary for human life, nowadays it's hard to find those that don’t use any form of technology.  There are many forms of technology from our language to even the way that we move, AI (artificial intelligence) is just the most common perception of it. Technology has made it easier in terms of accessing information but it has also expanded our brain into different ways of analyzing said information. Learning about different topics, having access to different languages, searching for verified data, and gaining a deeper understanding of what it connects to, are many of the different ways that technology has helped us. While there are many instances of negative effects of technology, there is also double that amount that is used to positively affect communities and those that use it. Noted in Simon Adlers ‘Mixtape’ podcasts “Dakou” by Simon Adler, “technology is the liberation/freedom technology can have on a community ‘Right, right. We don’t talk about the seven weeks of just love and anarchy. It was wonderful. [laugh]. Technology has been an asset to the world connecting others together and allowing us to be able to express ourselves, the use of technology also makes it easier today to rely on it to complete simple tasks and use that in a way to take shortcuts. Blinding us from the problems around us. The development of technology has negative effects of unmonitored access of peoples work, making it easier to take from others leaving practically no trace, someones hard work and dedication stolen right from underneath them. Within the ‘Mixtape’ podcast “Cassetternet” by Simon Adler it is stated that “And this superpower wielded by millions of kids in their bedrooms was beginning to threaten the music industry. Home taping is killing music. Home taping. We are losing £20-million a year.” Technology is a valuable asset in society now, it allows for people to gain deeper knowledge keep in touch with others and take care of our selves. 

Technology while a viable asset in today's society has been shown to have more negatives than positives. Allowing ourselves to get wrapped up in one device and allow it to solve even the simplest of equations for us leaves us stuck and dependent.
