“Money can't be cared about. It's got to be a tool that you use because if you don't use it, it will use you.”. In the series entitled "Girl from Nowhere,” a peculiar girl named Nanno transfers from one institution to another in every episode and exposes the secrets of the faculty members and the students of every school, taking justice into her own hands. The entire series itself portrayed Nanno as an earthly manifestation of karma.  As for episode 4, we will be able to understand the real power of money. Moreover, in the introduction of the episode, Nanno inquires, “What can money buy?" and had us all wonder about the extent of using money to acquire the things we want and need.

As Dino attempts to hide his real social status from his friends, he is faced with a problem. Money. Moreover, living in a middle-class family made it much harder for him to obtain the amount of cash he needed. Therefore, stealing his parents' money was the only choice he had left to continue his intention to conceal his identity. The episode was engaging since it tackled relevant issues such as the struggles of working-class families just to make ends meet and the privileges of being rich.

The differences in how the rich people (Dino's friends) and the middle class (Dino's family) viewed money were frighteningly accurate. Since Dino's friends were all rich, money was never a problem for them. However, for Dino's parents, cash was more than enough to buy their silence since the family is on a shoestring after Dino stole the money to hide his secret. This scene showed how money can control the lives of the people in modern society.

Furthermore, in the scene wherein the group of friends had a game of Russian roulette, the comparison between Dino's friends and other working-class families in terms of reasons for sacrificing their lives was somewhat unpleasant. For Dino's wealthy friends, money for new bags and cosmetic surgery was more important than their mere well-being. It showed that the right amount of money can potentially take a person's life or well-being.

As for the friends' attitudes, it proved that money is incapable of buying manners.  On top of that, some scenes even showed that the people from the upper class view people from the middle class as inferiors. Moreover, rich people can be able to get away from anything by solely paying for their silence or services. It shows how evident the "rich privilege" is in society.

Although some scenes were slightly cringe-worthy because of the acting, I liked how the director was bold enough to use their voice and did not sugarcoat anything in terms of presenting their message to the audience. It accurately showed that money talks and how modern society treats the wealthy and the poor. Watching this episode will make us realize that money is all around us and will always be important to us, but money is not everything and will also have its limitations.
