Have you ever been to the Grand Canyon? Maybe or maybe not. I will be telling you about my trip to The Grand Canyon in Arizona.

First, we traveled from Scottsdale, Arizona, to the Grand Canyon, about a four-hour drive. We were in Scottsdale because we were visiting my dad's family. We checked into our hotel room, then took a drive along the park.

Then, the next day, we drove to the canyon itself. We hiked down a path a little and then came to an arch where someone was taking pictures in the “window” of the arch. When the person was finished taking pictures, he slipped and almost fell down into the canyon. Then my dad and my sister continued down the path while my mom and I went back up because the path had ice under the dust of the path.

Then, two days later, we were in our hotel room getting ready and eating breakfast, five deer came to the window of our hotel room. The deer started to tear the leaves off the trees and eat them, and they also ate the snow, too. We took pictures of them, and then something happened.

Next, someone who wanted to take a “selfie” with the deer scared them away by being too close to them, and they went running away. After a while, when we were getting ready to leave, they came back.

Finally, we went to our car, and then we went to the sunrise. It was magnificent, but cold. You might not expect it to be cold in Arizona, but it was below freezing. We brought a blanket to stay warm as we watched the sunrise. The sun was so bright it seemed to make the canyon come alive.

The Grand Canyon is a beautiful place to visit. From the canyon itself to all the other animals and landmarks, it is definitely a destination for you.
