A garden is something that everyone can start. Although gardens are easy to start, sometimes it takes a bit of extra effort to sustain them. If you want to sustain your garden, you must make sure that you give daily maintenance and care for the plants. If you don't do any of these, either don't buy the plant, or make sure that you do.

A garden is a patch of dirt where some people grow plants and vegetables to suit their liking. In each garden there are usually 10-15 plants. These plants need to be watered whenever it is needed and get enough sunlight. All plants have different times that they need to be watered at, for example a cornflower needs to be watered once every week, whereas a sunflower needs to be watered every two days. When buying the plant or seed packet, make sure you research the plant and give it the correct maintenance. If you give the wrong maintenance, the plant would not grow properly.

Using a watering can to water your garden is the most common way that gardeners use. First, you must have a watering can and fill it up with roughly 400mL of water. Then, while you water your garden, evenly distrubute an even amount to each area. Once about half of the water is gone, stop watering your garden and dig a small hole that doesn't affect any roots or plants. Dig until you get about three centimetres deep into the ground, and if it is not wet all the way up to that deep, cover up the hole keep watering the plants evenly. After you finish the rest of the water, dig another hole just as you did before, and if it is not wet at three centimetres, cover the hole and fill the watering can with an extra 100mL and stop.

To sustain your garden, there are lots of things that you must do. An example of something that you must do is giving your plant the right amount of sunlight and water. This is necessary because plants are like humans, they need the sunlight to grow and become healthy. In the sun, plants absorb Vitamin C from the sun, and with that sunlight, plants can maintain their current state and continue growing. Water is necessary as it is needed, just like sunlight to continue growing, because plants are like us and if they didn't get an adequet amount of water, they would eventually die, this is because water is needed to sustain every plants cell.

When caring for your plants,  there are lots of things that you mustn't do. One example, is overwatering your plants. Overwatering is a problem that occurs a lot of the time, it is when you pour too much water onto the plants that it actually 'drowns' the plant. Yes, plants need water, but too much of it is like blowing up a balloon too much. If you give it too much, it will not be able to store all of the water and that excess water will be problematic. If maintaining the plant requires watering it every week and your going away for two weeks, don't just water it twice the amount you usually do otherwise that is overwatering, just ask someone else to help you while you are gone.

In conlusion, a garden is something that everyone can make, things you make sure you don't do are like overwatering. When buying a plant, make sure that you will be able to sustain it and that you won't have any problems, otherwise don't buy it. Make sure you read every word on package twice and be punctual when you take care of the plant, otherwise it will grown unhealthy and if you don't do anything about it, it will die.
