Successful Teaching Plan Essay Sample
Education has always been important in the cornerstone of society. As the years have passed, education is not only the information students have learned from a textbook, but also the change in students from a teacher who cares about their future. This is what drove me to become a teacher. Becoming a teacher that the student not only learns the school material information, but how to handle real life situations. As I plan to make sure that all of my students have a space that not only feels safe, but open to new learning experiences. Accomplishing these goals by making the time to be a great example for the students. My goal as a future teacher will be to ensure that all students are ready for whatever life throws at them by creating a classroom environment that has open discussions, group work, and independent working.
In order to teach in the most effective and efficient way for my current students, my plan is to grow and improve my teaching style every year. As for my style of teaching, group and independent work and open discussions will be used to ensure the students remain engaged. These will ultimately create an atmosphere that encourages the learners to thrive within their learning environment. By blending partial hands-off learning with support and guidance, my students' learning will remain centralized. My past job experiences have shaped me in what kind of teacher that I want to be for all students. Happily, from my most recent experience as an after school teacher and a substitute teacher really opened my eyes to seeing what I think the students would benefit from the most. One thing that really stood out to me was that they all wanted to learn, but some were afraid that if they seemed smart that nobody would like them. Therefore, designing a classroom that recognizes each student's needs will help the students thrive to their best abilities.
Building a relationship with the students is one of the most important things to do as a teacher. It will be the number two goal from me as a teacher. With, of course, learning the material will be number one. The way I want to accomplish that is by having the first day of class having the students fill out a questionnaire to figure out what kind of student, what kind of learning , and what they want to accomplish. Then once complete, have us all set classroom rules and have them feeling comfortable to an extent of course; they will still know that I am in charge. Second day of class I will group the students together based on their answers, so that the classroom is set up to where they will thrive the best. Within the groups, allowing the student to sit by whom they’d like, and implementing a rule that does allow the students phone to be out on their desk. Acknowledging that if I did not do so that they students would try to sneak it, but creating a zone that allows them to can make them more comfortable while learning. It also helps teach them balance that they will have to manage in college and in a job.
One of the best ways to prosper as a teacher is to work in a team and to benefit the students as well. By having a good relationship between your coworkers, you will be able to improve your teaching styles and lesson plans as you can all bounce ideas off one another. The students will have the opportunity to see how an open, honest, fun work flow looks and functions and how much can be accomplished when everyone works together. It will set good examples for them to see what we can accomplish when everyone works together. The idea of having a team meeting once a week to make sure that each teacher can help and make sure all are on the same page. This alone does not only help workflow, but it can build friendships outside of the workplace.
At the end of the day it really comes down to making sure that the students succeed in their academic learning, and are getting prepared for a life not only out of school, but out of their family home. Ensuring my future students will get the right knowledge,equipment, and skills they need to be self-sufficient, problem solvers, goal setting students, and good leaders and followers. Creating a classroom environment that shines a light on different perspective and how to rise in any occasion to become a great contributor to the society.Letting my students see that not only are teachers are the heart and soul of the community, but that every single job plays a part in a working community, town, and government. They are the ones who will encourage the future leaders into what they can accomplish and their love in learning.
