Touching manatees was perfectly fine in other states or regardless of America. People touched and swam with manatees because they viewed them as ‘harmless’ and nice. But it got worse over time. People were abusing, killing, and taking babies from their mothers. Each passage talked about the warnings and how people viewed manatees and the other passages talked about the violence towards manatees. Although each author’s point of view regarding touching manatees was similar through the warnings and the illegal rule of touching it, it was also different because some talked about how fun the trip was going to see manatees while others only talked about how illegal touching manatees are.

Each authors’ points of view are similar because they all talk about the harassment of manatees and how unlawful it is to touch one of them. According to each of the texts, it says, ‘No approaching, harassing, touching resting manatees or disturbing them’ This text explains the signs or warnings before touching manatees because there are some few people who could harm and kill them. The second text says, ‘Let me just cut to the bottom line first and say that if you touch them, you put them at higher risk for getting injured and/ or killed. You also put the whole species at risk of dying forever. This text means that if we touch or abuse them they could easily die. The third text says, ‘ In 2006 local activists began making videos of manatees abuse, including people riding manatees and guides taking babies from mothers to pass around to tourists’ This text explains that we should take a higher risk of not touching because there are many news reports of manatees get mistreated, by humans. Each of the author's points of view explains that we should keep away from touching manatees because we could abuse them and get them killed.

The difference between illegal touching and how people loved their trip is different because people talked about how their trip reflected their impact by visiting manatees and how amazing it was. According to the text it says, 'This was one of the most amazing moments of my life! I rubbed the manatee's bellies as they rolled gracefully in the water'. This text means that they had an amazing day going on a trip to visit manatees. The second text says, 'Florida where people go swimming with the manatees. I've heard the stories too: manatees seem to like it. This text means that the author is referring to how people loved swimming with manatees and how they loved viewing it. The third text says, 'Oh it was great! It came right up to my face! She’s so overcome by emotion she can’t wait to go out and save manatees. I’ll tell you, for a lot of people, it is a spiritual experience' This text means that humans loved going on trips likely by visiting manatees because it's great for seeing an animal. They are similar and different because they each talked about how it was illegal to touch manatees and how people loved their trip for visting manatees.

In my own opinion touching manatees is dangerous and murderous because there are a few manatees that could kill you till death. I can simply understand why people write signs such as “don’t touch” because they are explaining to us that we could easily die. It says in the FWC. Viewing Guidelines, “If manatees become accustomed to being around people, they can alter their behavior in the wild, perhaps causing them to lose their natural fear of boats and humans, which may make them more susceptible to harm.” This text is important because it talks about how manatees are dangerous animals and can cause violence against humans.

Between those three passages, they both talked about how touching manatees is illegal due to harassment and abuse. The similarities and differences between the three passages were about how each of the authors talked about the limitations of touching manatees and the difference was how humans described how lovely manatees were when they visited them. Passage 1 talked about the limitations of touching manatees basically telling us signs as us, ‘No approaching, harassing, touching resting manatees. And the passage talked about how fun their trip was approaching manatees and humans viewed them.  Passage 2 also talks about how it was illegal touching manatees and also the signs before approaching them and the passage talked about how people loved their trip by observing the manatees Passage 3 talks about also talk about the signs before touching manatees and the passage also talks about how humans liked tour by visiting manatees. I  can summarize that each author of the three passages where serious about people touching manatees they include signs of ‘Don’t touch’ This means that each author is sending or reaching out to people that they shouldn’t touch manatees because it’s against the law. And I can also summarize that each author includes that there were others who didn’t view manatees as dangerous animals and how lovely the manatees were when they approached them.
