Why would video games be considered healthy or significantly affect health? Part of society might ask. Well, the following passages may have an answer. part of society believes that video games do not significantly affect physical health. But, people don’t have to play video games continuously, people can manage time and not play extensively, playing video games could actually encourage physical health, people can be introduced to new ways of exercise by using video games. This is why video games do not significantly affect physical health.

To begin with, People actually don’t have to play video games nonstop. A reason that supports my argument is, “ Moderate game playing doesn't usually harm people's physical health over the long term” (Paragraph 1). An explanation of this quote; Video games don’t actually cause any trouble to physical health as long as the recipient does not excessively play video games. Another great quote from the passage is, “‘ However, in many cases, the pain doesn't last ‘ It goes away if people stop playing the games so much”’ (Passage  1). In the context of this quote, the sentence behind the quote said, “‘ This tension(1) and repetition can strain body parts such as the neck, wrist, or elbow “ The strain can cause pain”’ (Paragraph 1) These two sentences indicate that playing video games in a timely manner does not truly affect physical health. A final and strong piece of evidence is, “ Jeffrey Levi, executive director of Trust for America's Health, said the best solution is simply to cut the cord and encourage youths to spend less time in front of screens.” The true meaning of this sentence is that the “youth” can actually get off the to electronics and be encouraged to do more physical things. Thus, proving that playing video games does not affect physical health. This is why video games do not affect physical health.

Equidistant to people not having to spend continuous hours on video games, people can be encouraged to exercise by video games. A piece of evidence from the passage is, “Also, some video games can actually help people be more physically active” ( Passage 1). This quote from the passage means that people can actually be encouraged to be more physically active because of games; for example, if a person sees their favorite character being fit and working out; the person seeing this would want to also be like their favorite character. The second piece of evidence can be, “ But the AHA said it is endorsing the Wii because it will encourage sedentary(4) Americans to take the first step toward fitness” (Passage 1). In context, Wii is a game system that made game that makes people move and do physical activities. A final piece of evidence is, “ The Wii, which has sold more than 30 million consoles across the Americas, comes with a controller that encourages people to physically move as they play” (Passage 3). This sentence means that people would be more active using a controller. This is why people are likely not to physically be affected by video games.

As a final point, People can be introduced to new ways of exercise. To elaborate on that idea, new possible ways of exercising have already been established with more technological ideas, like introducing people to VR or a console designed for exercise. To start off, video games can have a variety of uses, including fitness. The first thing that can provide physical exercise, is a Wii console, which makes you play different types of exercising games, as can be found when a person using the Wii said that “the game system recently helped her lose five pounds” (Passage 3) Preeminently, the Wii made a beneficial plus for people’s health as could be seen when passage 3 says, "You really get into it sometimes and you can use your whole body," for an explanation, this sentence means that using the Wii can make a person really worked up, in result, the person exercises more. As a final attestation, video games can actually significantly affect a person’s lifestyle. Because 40% of people who don’t exercise regularly say that it is not entertaining enough. But when introducing video games, more than 30 million separate units of the Wii console have been sold in America. This may be a concluding factor to the debate about whether or not video games are beneficial or not.

In conclusion, video games do not significantly affect physical health. Because humans do not need to play video games consistently, people can manage time efficiently, and people can be introduced to new possible ways of exercising using video games. This is why video games do not significantly affect human physical health.
