Persuasive Essay Sample: Abortion Should Be Legal

Abortion has been a topic that has been going on for quite some time in the United States of America. There have been protesters in front of clinics holding up signs and shouting out loud in the area to stop women from getting an abortion. You can sometime see them trying to stop a pregnant person before they even enter the clinic or a fight that will lead to police involvement arresting them. You can see them trying to convince them to not do it, protestors are about to do and to stop what they are doing. The unthinkable choice of abortion should not be blame to all women for making a choice to terminate a baby. The father plays a role too and he should also have to be at fault. I think that abortion should be legal because if a woman has no one to run to for support or gets rape by her rapist, she doesn’t want to keep the baby and wants to abort it to help her way out. She should and could make her up her mind alone without a consent from anyone from stopping her. I know there are other choices but making a decision that can change later in the future can make a mother of the child as crazy as a psychotic person would act because this is a big choice to make.

Abortion is a topic to be concern about some people doesn’t support it because some people disagree to agree with this matter. Protesters are some of the people that goes against it which makes them not believing in abortion and they are in opposition to this topic. They call it a crime a murder that a woman should be blame for to jail. There are some believers and think that it’s a great choice to make because it can save lives the mother and the baby. Terminating another human’s life whether the situation may be is a big decision to make. Abortion has been made by the people’s votes to make it illegal in the U.S. Some Americans think its murder, some thinks it can save lives. The one making that decision has every right to make their own choice to choose that. There are many reasons or stories to tell why people must abort their baby. This is a very big decision to make, but people can go against it and change their mind full of regret. That is why people can change their mind if they want to not have an abortion. Terminating a life is a right that we can make and choose not to do. In America, Americans have voted, and the law has passed for the mother to make her own choices to abandon the baby as she feels, and no one can stop her. Unless this is a child under the age of 18 years old, she has no rights to make that decision unless both of her parents’ consent to do so. When a child is under the age of 18, she is who that is still under the rights of her parents to make her choices for her decisions.

In the book, page 545 states the topic, (On the Moral and Legal status of Abortion). Women are fully to blame for abortion since they are the one to carry the fetus. Just because the women carry’s the baby inside her womb doesn’t mean she is fully in extremity at fault for it. There must be a good reasoning for the mother to make that choice. We should raise our voice and speak for our women in support. It makes the women feel guilty and horrible to live in a world like this to accept that this was the choice that she must make when she goes to get the abortion. If the father isn’t present, we must help the mother and support her about this situation, Some father of the baby doesn’t want to be around and leaves as he please. A baby might have a heartbeat and is living in the mother’s wombs, but if the mother reaches the maximum time to abort, they will have no choice but for the mother to abort them if she desires. Even the father doesn’t have the rights to say anything for the mother to change her mind about it. It is the mother’s choice to choose what is best for her and her baby.

Just like the movie “How to Die in Oregon”, a very sad and touching movie with an eye opener. The movie shows and tells that if a patient wants to terminate themselves, they have a choice and they also can change their mind. They will go through the instructions with the person that helps them get through the process or they can change their mind if they don’t want to go through it. It’s all about what the people want. This is not by force it is by choice. The movie also showed a patient that overturned her choice and lived longer than she expected, but with complications. The other patients couldn’t bear with the pain, so he went over the consent form and took the medication and died slowly but peacefully by his family side. The patient had no hesitation in signing those people because he was living a painful lifestyle and couldn’t go on any longer. His story touched my heart, but I understood why he didn’t want to go through this. He sees any signs of improving then knew he had to just let go. This related to abortion because of the choices people make involved in choosing whether to live or not by just consenting. 

In addition, the documentary on (PAS) Physician-Assisted-Suicide explains many things related to life and death. Making their choices whether to live their life struggle or end it with a consent form. These are by choices and abortion should be one made by a women’s choice. A women should not be stopped if she is the person carrying the baby and doesn’t want it. The law here will benefit the choices of a woman. Which gives anyone by this day many choices they make on their own should be acceptable. Some people will go against PAS because they find it murder and same with abortion. In comparison, both uses consent forms, but both decisions, once the procedure is complete, are irreversible. For example, a consent form is gone over many times with patients, they have a choice to choose to sign it or no. You could change your mind if you decided to and that’s your choice and they will grant in Oregon.

Sure, it sounds and looks illegal, but if the law passes for the people who have rights they should do as they feel. The law in the United States of America is more of the people rights and choices, nobody has the right to change their mind but themselves. Before this came into a conversely, people were so against it, and they would have to fight or kill the person who wants to terminate anyone. In the 1800s, there were no laws, so that makes it harder for people to make any choices for themselves. The people against it would have to obey the people who doesn’t want to live and must suffer the pain and go through it until they die. There were no abortion or PAS to decide whether they can live or what not. They wouldn’t give you a choice to make they would leave you be and lay you to die. Back then wasn’t like today, today we have a choice, and we can speak for ourselves. We can go over the information’s to abortion and if we agree to it we can be granted our wishes. Before we didn’t have rights into saying what we want, it’s what we couldn’t say or do our words didn’t matter.

In addition, America today as we live in people are very judgmental, but some agree and support the things we want. By that we must fight in court for what we want to do. There are laws now and for it to put into law to pass we must have people voting for it to get things our way. We have judges and juries that help decide what we can do and cannot do. For things to be passed our country need people to vote of things by counting people by the bet as who votes the highest will win. We must go through court that leads us to fighting for our rights to what we want. There are many rules to our laws, and we must obey it, or we will get arrested and locked up. That’s the way it’s going to be in America now. The judges in court are the people who finalized our decision. America has always had a judicial system that made big decision, we inherited it from the English law. The old days were just people who own villages who oversaw everything for their people. On how they live, eat, and live, there are many things that we can’t do. It was so poorly due the poverty times people were scared and had to hide from their problems. They would kill people so easily that no one cannot get arrested for things like we do and live in now in America. 

On this very specific subject that will always divide the country no matter what side of the fence you sit on. Freedom of speech and freedom of decision to make it should be a matter of a women voice to speak and do for themselves. Under a woman’s physical, mental health of pregnant individual circumstance surrounding the pregnancy such as drugs, rape, abusive relationship, incest, all the reasons why a woman may not want to bring a child in to the world. There are many reasons why this should be into law that woman should make their own decision on whether to keep the baby or not. It is a great idea for us to make that choice to save our woman from keeping a baby around or in the world because some women know for sure that they cannot keep the baby alive to survive here in the world with them.

In Conclusion, abortion should be legal, and it can be a decision that you could make if you decided to change your mind. Aborting a baby is an option it is not by force, so it makes people choose whether to get an abortion or not. Human rights are what we are living up to and the rights to aborting a baby is by choice so we can make that choice if we want. In America, it is legal, and people should not go against it and should be supportive towards the women who wants to make that decision. I am in support for the women who wants and needs the abortion as they desire. Women should be able to make their own decision over their body and no one should tell them no different. It is our personal preference and our choices to make. We have rights and we must use it against people who is against abortion.
