Hi! As Wheldy Clair C. Dublas, I would like to introduce myself. I'm a young woman of eighteen. I am a resident of Palale, MacArthur, Leyte. I grew up in a middle-class household. As a child, my family expected me to be the best in my class. However, I became more vocal about my feelings throughout my senior year of high school and spent my senior year the way I wanted to without forsaking my studies. As a result, now that I'm in college, I'm getting less pressure from my parents regarding my academics. I survived Super Typhoon Yolanda and was in Ormoc during the strongest earthquake in Leyte. This traumatic situation has strengthened me. I was also ridiculed, criticized, and told that I was not a member of the family. With this, I spent most of my life aiming to be the best and establishing self-esteem to stand up and fight for myself. I grow up as a church girl. However, as I mature, I become more open-minded and start questioning what I genuinely believe and value. Fortunately, I was able to find the solution to my query. And now I am the person I truly want to be, with a clear understanding of myself, morals, and a firm grasp on my aim. As I mentioned earlier, my experiences have shaped me into the person I am now. When it comes to my strength as a student, I believe my confidence and perseverance to keep striving and giving my best at all times are my greatest assets. Whenever I can, I offer assistance and am courteous, but I am also aware of my limitations in my field. While my weakness is that I am not visible enough for my teacher to see what I am capable of and what I have done. I believe I am overlooked and require attention, which is incorrect, and I am trying to change this mentality.

As of now, I have a solid view that passing the first semester is my primary objective. But it is only one of my stepping stones to achieve my goal to become a future Certified Public Accountant. I aspire to be an accountant, even if not the best certified public accountant in the world. I am going to be the best in my world. I desire to have convenient life and to travel around the world. I want my family to be proud of me and treat them when I became successful already. Proving competence and performance in areas of my life that are important to me boost my self-esteem. That is why I need to develop my competencies. So I'll make it a priority to tolerate compliments, even if they make me uncomfortable. The desire to deny or reject compliments will lessen with time, which will also be beneficial. When my self-esteem is low, I am more prone to harm it by being critical of myself. Since my goal is to improve my self-esteem, I must replace self-criticism with self-compassion. Doing so will avoid damaging my self-esteem and help build it up instead. An indication that my self-esteem is getting stronger.  Lastly, I need to validate my worth. The basic conclusion is that enhancing self-esteem takes some effort because it entails creating and sustaining healthier emotional patterns. Doing this will deliver a better emotional and psychological return on my investment.

Yes, I am confident that I am capable of becoming self-actualized. I think I am capable of grasping my full potential. I scour the web to see whether I have the characteristics of a self-actualized person. And I found out I have some of it. I accept people for who they are. I treated everyone the same way, regardless of their history or current situation. I am less scared of things that are unfamiliar or unusual, and I am more empathic and compassionate toward individuals I see on a regular basis. I like putting my problem-solving expertise to use in real-world circumstances and I enjoy assisting others. I don't follow other people's definitions of happiness or contentment. Because of this unique perspective, I am able to live in the moment and enjoy the beauty of each event. I also believe that making time for myself and developing my potential is vital. I can laugh and enjoy the comedy in circumstances, but I never criticize or jest at the expense of another person's feelings. I am also capable of adhering to commonly recognized social standards; yet, I do not feel constrained by these norms in my ideas or acts. Lastly, I have specific aims; I don't regard things as merely a means to an end. The path to reaching a goal is just as essential and pleasurable as the destination itself. These are the traits I possess, and though I did not meet half of them, I am optimistic that I will in the near future.
