The difference this scholarship will make to my life would be incredible, as I would be able to further my studies around my future career goal as a software design engineer and give me a much-needed boost to my education.

I see the mentoring side of the scholarship as an advantage to help better my studies with school and to have someone to guide me and help put me on the right path of study if I need further assistance with my education. Having someone, I can go to chat about how my schooling is going would be fantastic as they could offer some advice that could help give me that extra boost I need for my studies. The face-to-face mentoring aspect of the scholarship can come in handy as it gives me someone to speak to when I need some guidance on how to approach my education. The mentor can also help to show a different angle on how I could increase a mark on an assessment or how to give a better appearance in my writing when it comes to writing tasks in school.

The scholarship money would be put towards purchasing a laptop to help with my studies as I face challenges due to a visual impairment called Irlens. This makes it harder for me to complete my work as it creates the same visual effects as Dyslexia. This laptop would also be used to help with my day-to-day education. The money would also be spent on tutoring lessons to help me with my work and assignments/assessments. I see tutoring as a helping hand when it comes to education.

The scholarship would also help me to become the second person in my family to attend university. This means a lot to me as it is vital to achieving my future career goal. I have received much encouragement to continue with this career goal, and this scholarship, if awarded to me, would help to keep this goal alive.

In conclusion, receiving this scholarship would see a significant impact played in my life as it would allow me to excel in my learning and obtain my future career goal as a software design engineer.
