Admission Essay Example - University of Madison

About three years ago, I was 16 and I was living with my family in Kuwait, and my dream was to study in America, graduate from high school there, and set up a life and a future there. I used to see my goals being achieved there, and that was almost impossible until one day I woke up and grabbed my phone and searched for universities in America as usual, waiting for any opportunity that would allow me to reach there and complete my studies in one of the major universities there. Suddenly my older brother entered my room and was smiling. I don't know why I felt at that moment that I was about to hear something I had waited for all my life. Then he told me if I wanted to go with him to America to complete my high school and university studies. I couldn't believe it, this is where my passion began to make my dreams come true. The first time I traveled to America, my brother and I lived alone in one house, so I had to take responsibility for myself and all my mistakes. At first it was like an urgent challenge for me, as I did not speak English well to study or to speak. In addition, my high school had no one who spoke Arabic, so mastering the English language was the first challenge for me, as I told myself that there was nothing to be afraid of if I wanted to do what I wanted. I started getting to know my classmates and meet new friends in the sports activities. I used to go to my teachers after the class ended in order to understand what I could not understand during the class and here everyone started to help and love me and I started noticing that my grades became better and better with the passage of time. After I graduated from high school, many of my high school friends were planning to go to University of Madison. Until one day I went on a visit to University of Madison, and I was amazed by the size of the university and the high level of education, so I decided to search for the university’s requirements and read about the majors that I can study, so my only goal became to enter this university because I love challenges. 

The most important reason why I want to join the university is that I want to become a surgeon, and to meet this dream, I must have a college degree at first. So, after I had researched the university, I learned that it had one of the best medical colleges, so I decided to study genetics at first because I love it and I know how much it will help and strengthen me when I enter medical school.Entering the University of Madison and studying genetics is my dream since I landed my feet in America.
