Effects of Drug Addiction Essay Example

Addiction is a serious illness which usually young people tend to have because of their friend pressure. There are many types of addiction from alcohol to internet to behaviours. Drug addiction is one of them. Addicted people may excuse for taking drugs some of their family issues such as, death of someone they really need or to escape their stressful life. However, there are some significant personal and physiological effects of drug addiction on addicted people.

One of the most important effect of drug addiction is social problems. Addicted people need constantly take drugs. If they do not take, they can start arguing with their families, friends, or their partners. These argues leads to deteriorate their relationships, they may get divorced or other people do not want to interact with them, so they become completely alone. Moreover, because of their addiction, employers do not want to hire them, or other employees do not prefer be colleagues with addicted people; therefore, they become unoccupied. Due to losses in their life, it is possible to cause killing themselves.

Secondly, drug addiction affects people physiology. Some drugs are taken via vessels, and this implementation make the vessels wall hard; thus, if the person needs to have a medical treatment to get rid of any illness, doctors will have trouble during cure, and they will lose time. Furthermore, some sorts of drugs are used as painkillers in period of a treatment. However, bodies of dependent people are used to these medicines, so when these people use painkillers, this resistance will not be beneficial for them. 

In brief, because of various reasons, people be dependent. This dependence may cause several personal and physiological problems in addicted people’s life. They sometimes lose their family, friends, or they may suffer from their health. However, all the humans should know that whatever happens in their life using drugs will not be a solution.
