Do we need to prioritize grades over mental health? Or did you ever ask yourself about what is more important, good grades or good health?

A lot of students feel physically, emotional and psychological unwell because they put too much pressure on themselves just to get good grades. They are always staying late just to finish all school works. Waking up so early just to study and review more. Mostly forget to eat or skip meals. Always worried about the deadlines and would pass it before the due. Always getting distracted and confused because of all the thoughts on their head.

Although many teenagers think that grades are so overrated that having higher grades while rejecting mental health and happiness is better than having good health while prioritizing the significant things in life. Research confirms that students do better in school when they are physically and emotionally healthy. So in order to be better in school we must eat on time, sleep early to get enough rest and don't pressure yourself.

Base on research students who sleep more get better grades and feel a stronger sense of well-being than those with fluctuating sleep schedules. Getting enough sleep isn't just a good idea. It can improve your academic performance, your productivity and your mental health. Establish healthier sleep habits today to reap these benefits as soon as you can.

Students who eat it tend to perform better than those who don't. Research has shown that students are able to learn better when they are well nourished, and eating healthy meals has been linked to higher grades, better memory and alertness and faster information processing. The reason for this is that foods that are rich in fiber, protein and healthy fats such as eggs, yogurt, apples and oatmeal keep the body feeling full longer, providing enough energy to focus and stay alert throughout the entire day.

Pressure to do well at school has been shown to increase stress and anxiety in students, leading to poorer physical, social and emotional health. It's tough to stop putting pressure on yourself. You might even be afraid that if you relax a bit, your grades will fall apart. But putting less pressure on yourself can be key to feeling better and living a better life.

Always remember that grades are important, but your health is more important than that. Chasing your dream does not need to be a straight line of suffering. It can also have pauses, spaces and breaks. Don't pressure yourself with school works, any grade is alright. You're more than that.
