Today I am going to tell you 3 key points about communication. First up Why communication skills are so critical in the workplace and Which jobs require communication skills? .
Communication skills are crucial no matter what job you have or what level you work at. When there is failure with communications thing can start to go downhill. Almost every job, in some way, necessitates excellent communication skills. The job for which you are applying for would vary on which main ten skills you would use the most. For example, as a marketer communication is very important you would use a special combination of abilities needed for effective communication but say for a doctor you would use a different combination of the main ten skills. This leads me to point two. The top ten communication skills. There is Emotional intelligence, cohesion and clarity, friendliness, confidence, empathy, respect, listening, open-mindedness, tone of voice, and asking good questions. I know that was a lot to take in but let's go through a couple of them slowly. First up is emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence can help one communicate effectively, avoid stress, overcome challenges, and empathize with others. . Number two Cohesion and clarity. Communication is more than saying the proper thing, it's about sending a clear message. Lack of clarity and cohesion can result in poor decisions and confusion and nobody wants that. . Next confidence you always want to come off confident but of course not too much. When you have confidence, your audience will believe and rely on you more. But be careful because too much will have the opposite effect. Next up tone of voice . a conversation's atmosphere can be set by the sound of your speech depending on which words are highlighted in a sentence, it may have a completely different meaning. For example, in a customer complaint situation, the tone of voice should be as calm as possible. Let’s move on to the 3rd point. . Emphasizing Communication Skills in Your CV or Interview. First what is a CV . a CV is just like a resume that goes with the job application. Tip one for writing your CV is you should always examine the work description and individual specification. Tip two discuss your communication skills in terms of a project you completed at work or at university during the interview you also want to make your responses as benefit oriented as possible.
