The Importance of Journeys Essay Example

Journeys are the most important and adventurous stories. The trip is more crucial and influential than the destination is.  Journeys are all quests. To understand the journey you need to know the quest. What even is a quest? A quest is a special story that is a part of the journey. They’re important because the trip to the destination is more important than the treasure. Understanding a journey is also knowing the objective of it. There are many aspects of a journey that most people don’t know. That’s why I’m telling you about it. 

Do you know what a quest is?  To know a journey, you first must know a quest. A quest is a story of adventures that lead to an objective. (ex. treasure) Quests are great for young readers that like exciting adventures. “You must go on adventures to find out where you truly belong” – Sue Fitzmaurice. This quote is saying that you need to venture to find what you like. Be adventurous. Quests are very important to journeys but journeys are unique because of the path you take to the destination. 

Journeys are important because of the quest of getting there.  The path to the destination is usually more important than the loot or treasure found. The characters learn lots about life and learn many important lessons on the journey there.  “Some of life’s best lessons are learned at the worst times.”-  said Ani DiFranco. On journeys, there is always something wrong or some enemy stopping the character (like the goblins in the Hobbit). But, you can still learn valuable lessons in bad situations. Important lessons can be learned at the worst times.

Understanding a journey is knowing the objective of it. You need to know what the goal is. Getting treasure, finding valuables, or just going on vacation can all be the goals of a journey. “A journey is a Journey.”- Davide Lo Vetere. You can make up your own objective! All you have to know is your objective. What do you want to do? What is it you strive for? It is all about that. Simple as that. It can be a quick trip or a long expedition. But, you’ll always reach a goal in the end with hardwork and good fortune. Never give up!

The concept of a journey can be summed up in three easy steps. One, you have to understand the quest for it. Two, you must understand why they're important. Because of what you learn on the way there. Finally, you need to understand the ultimate goal of your journey. You can set that yourself. A journey is yours to choose.
