In this contemporary world, achieving higher education in universities is necessary for a successful life. One of the questions raised in this regard is what the universities should imply to enhance their quality of lectures, such as raising the professor's salaries. In my opinion, increasing the revenue of professors may not be the best idea to enhance the education system of a university. There are several reasons why I feel this way, which I will explore in the following essay.

First and foremost, universities need a myriad of research to be done in order to be successful; moreover, they need to provide a huge budget for this purpose. All universities have specific finance in hand, and by increasing the incomes of professors, the budget available for scientific research will decline. My previous university is a compelling example of this. When I started my bachelor's degree, my university was known as a center of research for the computer science industry. It promoted numerous adept students to the nation by providing the environment for them to do experiments and earn modern knowledge. But it seems that after I graduated, the old university's reputation faded. I read in a newspaper that one of the reasons the university can not provide the fund for more research is that the academic staff demanded more salary; therefore, the institution had to contribute less money for other purposes.

In conjunction with the first reason, although it may encourage more people to become professors and gain a higher education, there are a variety of more efficient ways to enhance the quality of a university's academic system, such as using more modern technology in teaching. Students from the twenty-first century are adopted to technological life; therefore, using papers or books makes them reluctant to listen to lectures. By using projectors, computers, and online resources, the students try to be involved more in courses. For instance, my cousin, who went to a more modern university, had a better time comprehending the context of his classes due to the use of computers rather than the old-fashioned methods of books.

In conclusion, I think devoting more money to salaries for the academic staff is not an efficient way of increasing the quality of one's university. First, it may decrease the financing available for the labs, facilities, and other related institutions to research. Secondly, there are more efficient ways to enrich a university's purpose, which is students' education.
